The Dream is over, and many have moved on to a new world. But for some, it was a much different experience. What happened after the life they knew suddenly ended. Where did they go, what did they have to do to survive, and how did they get here?
This rp is for low powered characters. When the dream ended, whatever may have caused it, many people came straight to the new world. For some, they never noticed a thing. But for others, they were ejected from the dream. In this story, the characters are on modern day Earth. Up until now, there was no such thing as magic, monsters, furries, or any such fantasy. Thats all it was, fantasy. However, due to events that will be detailed later in the adventure, much of what was possible in the dream is now possible in the "real" world.
Your character may be one of two things:
1. A dreamer who for some reason or another ended up on Earth. Any magic/scientifically impossible power you may have had was gone. Physical attributes, such as fur, claws, fangs, ect are still there. If you were an anthro fox in the dream, you are still an anthro fox, just you don't have any magic, or extraordianry abilities. No items you carried were transfered, you awoke naked somewhere in the real world. (Warning, non-humans will be met with hostility and fear for the majority of the adventure. You have been in hiding up until the start of this adventure)
2. You are a normal every day human who has discovered the world is not what it used to be. Maybe you encountered something supernatural, maybe you gained a supernatural ability yourself. The point is, you are now seeing the world through new eyes.. and its not pretty.
Any powers you want to have are going to start out at a very low level, and you've only just begun to discover them. By the end of this thread they will be fully developed.
You are going to save the world, or destroy it trying. A dark force has arrived, and it is up to a few brave souls to stop it.

In this thread you are going to be working with the united states government fighting against a supernatural enemy. Your character doesn't have to be a combat oriented character, but there will be a lot of action. If your character isn't the type of person who would work with the government, thats perfectly fine. They aren't going to be given much of a choice in the beginning.
Ron Bjork is going to be your contact with the government, and once I've got his profile completely done, it may seem a bit more powerful than what I'm going to allow the other characters. That's because he returned to Earth long before the dream ever ended, so he's had more time to develope. He is not the star, so don't worry about him stealing the spotlight. He just out ranks you, and gives you your orders.
If you create a new character for this thread, there will be an IC way for them to leave earth and come to the Lucidia Fantasy world near the end of the thread.
